New Platform, Same Sai
Venturing into the Substack world feels almost nostalgic, considering my content-creating career started with a blog back in 2014. Funny enough, when I started back then, I thought I was too late to the blogging game. I figured there were already too many blogs and that no one would actually read mine. Looking back now, I realize I’m practically an OG – there really weren’t many NYC bloggers, especially in my niche, which leaned into the chic mommy-and-me side of blogging.
Now here I am, finding myself in that same headspace from 2014 – am I too late to start a Substack? Will anyone want to read my stories? Do I even belong here? You’d think after accomplishing so many goals, those feelings would go away, but the truth is, they never really do. Trying new things, learning, and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone – that’s the good stuff. That’s where growth happens. So, here I am again, embracing that uneasy feeling and daring myself to do something different or maybe I’m just returning to my roots since this is how I started.
This space is going to be a little bit of everything – the fashion finds that make my heart skip a beat, my favorite recommendations, and stories from my wild NYC nights (think blackout drunk escapades, getting free drinks for sport, and traveling broke while couch surfing). I also want to take you on a ride down memory lane – how I grew up (survived), the hard lessons learned, and the crazy adventures that shaped me. Some of it will be free, some of it behind a paywall – but all of it will be 100% me. Welcome to ‘Sai Unseen’
I’m ready to unleash another side of myself. I’ll still be the authentic, funny, relatable person you’ve gotten to know over the years – but now, I want to bring you in a little deeper. You’re not just getting the curated, public version; you’re getting the real stories, the behind-the-scenes chaos, and the parts that didn’t make it to Instagram.
So, are you coming along for the ride? Hit that subscribe button, and let’s make some memories together. Buckle up, buttercups – this is going to be fun!
